The Charlotte Observer – A customer complaint at a McDonald’s drive-thru erupted in “McMayhem” when a worker pulled a gun and started firing shots, according to police in Florida.
The customers escaped unharmed by speeding away in a vehicle as the worker stood in the parking lot shooting at them, Lakeland police said in a news release Monday.
It happened around 1 a.m. Friday, at the McDonald’s on East Memorial Drive in Lakeland, police said. Lakeland is about a 35-mile drive northeast from Tampa.
“The dispute began in the (drive-thru) when the customers/victims felt their order was incorrect,” police said.
