New Hampshire State Police, ROCHESTER, N.H. – The driver of a box truck was not hurt during a crash on Route 16 this morning.
At 7:48 a.m. today, May 10, 2024, the New Hampshire State Police was notified of a crash along the northbound travel lanes of Route 16 in Rochester.
State Troopers from the Troop A barracks responded and found a disabled box truck across both travel lanes at mile marker 16.2.
The on-scene investigation determined that the driver, identified as James Desrosiers, 29, of Concord, suffered a sneezing fit and lost control of the truck.
The box truck, a 2023 International, then collided with an adjacent guardrail along the breakdown lane and swerved back toward the middle of the roadway.

The truck then rolled over before coming to rest back on its wheels, perpendicular to the roadway.
Desrosiers was not hurt. There were no passengers in the truck and no other vehicles were involved.
Desrosiers and the box truck were placed out of service as a result of the ensuing motor carrier inspection.
The northbound lanes of travel were closed for approximately one hour while emergency personnel worked to make the scene safe for travel.
Troop A personnel were assisted on the scene by members of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Dover Police Department, Troop G of the State Police and Rochester Truck.
